Policies

At Fly Phoenix, our mission is to provide exceptional multiengine flight training in a safe, professional, and supportive environment. The following policies are designed to ensure consistency, safety, and clarity for all students and instructors.

1. Flight Operations

Dual Instruction Only: All flight operations must be conducted under the supervision of a certified instructor. Solo flights are not permitted.
Base of Operations: Training flights depart from Stellar Airpark (P19). Directions and gate access code are provided upon booking confirmation.

2. Scheduling & Cancellations

Cancellation Window: Minimum 24-hour notice is required to cancel without penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee.
No-Show Policy: Repeated no-shows impact training continuity, aircraft scheduling, and place an undue burden on our instructors' carefully planned calendars. A $100 fee will be applied for each missed appointment without prior notice.

3. Student Conduct

Professionalism: Students are expected to maintain a respectful and courteous attitude toward instructors, staff, and fellow students at all times. Fly Phoenix reserves the right to suspend or terminate flying privileges for any behavior deemed unprofessional, unsafe, or disruptive to the training environment.
Substance Policy: Fly Phoenix maintains a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, or any substances that may impair flight safety.

4. Aircraft Handling & Safety

Checklist Use: Checklists must be used during all phases of flight and ground operations to ensure safety and standardization.
Discrepancy Reporting: Any mechanical or operational discrepancies must be reported immediately following the flight.

5. Financial Policies

Payment: All flights must be paid in full upon completion.
Refunds: Students may request a refund for any unused flight hours. If the hours were purchased as part of a block package, the unused portion will be refunded at the standard single-hour rate, and a $250 administrative fee will apply. Please allow up to 14 business days for processing.
